How to split a string by two delimiter characters that are in another string?
I'm looking for a way to split strings in Excel. I have a string like this:
"echo "42" || sleep 1 && echo "hello""
I need to split it and get something like this:
echo "42"
sleep 1
echo "hello"
Is there any way to do this without using.split()?
A:
You can use string.replace to replace " characters in a string with the empty string:
>>> t = "echo "42" || sleep 1 && echo "hello""
>>> t.replace('"', '')
'echo "42"
sleep 1
&& echo "hello"'
>>>
Q:
Probability of mutually exclusive events
I'm trying to calculate the probability of an event, but I've noticed a question I've always struggled to get my head around:
Suppose there are 3 mutually exclusive events: A, B and C.
In a bag of $n$ distinct objects, what is the probability of picking any object from A, and then any object from B, and finally any object from C?
The textbook I'm using uses the following solution:
$\mathbb{P}[A]\cdot\mathbb{P}[B]\cdot\mathbb{P}[C] = (\frac{1}{6})\cdot(\frac{1}{6})\cdot(\frac{1}{6}) = \frac{1}{216}$
However, the solution here, is as follows:
$\mathbb{P}[A]\cdot\mathbb{P}[B]\cdot\mathbb{P}[C] = 0b46394aab
