Found existing message that Firefox 53.2.0 is available for XP, but the download link on the page only offers v. 57. I'm trying to download on a Linux machine that is running v.40 which I will update, but still need the version for XP. The XP machine is airgapped so can't download directly.
Why go to 53 when is insecure, outdated when can get 52.5.3 ESR. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: * -US/firefox/organizations/all/ a compile for Linux on the page.Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018. You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because:
Open this link in your File Explorer: -US/ This is an FTP link and it doesn't require a web browser to work. Once you download the installer Firefox_Setup_3.6.15.exe, you can launch it to install Firefox. See also Installing Firefox for more details.
I wish to download and install Firefox 52 ESR for a PC with Windows XP. But, I cannot download it on that WinXP PC. I must download it on another PC running Win 10. It should be an .exe (or somethng like that) file, which I can then transfer to the XP PC and run it to install FF 52 ESR.
If I try to download FF on the Win 10 PC, it downloads (I think) the version that is best for Win 10 PC. I do not see any place where I can specify that I want FF 52 ERS, and not the version for Win 10. That is the problem.

Versions of Acrobat Reader exist for all major computer platforms, including Windows, Macintosh, LINUX and several other operating systems. To download the reader, you'll need a Web browser connected to the Internet. Please follow the instructions on the Adobe Acrobat download page to install the Acrobat Reader.
Adobe Systems, Inc. is producing various products designed to make PDF documents accessible to persons using screen reading software. Their accessibility web pages describe their efforts. They also have a free downloadable accessibility plug-in called, MakeAccessible. This plug-in runs under Microsoft Windows 95 OSR 2.0, Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows NT 4.0 with SP 5 or SP 6, Windows 2000, or Windows XP. Each system should have at least 64 MB (128 MB recommended) of RAM per processor, 200 MB of virtual memory, and 870 K of disk space available. The MakeAccessible Plug-in creates a tagged Adobe PDF file from an untagged PDF file. This allows a PDF document to be read by a screen reader.
Once you've downloaded and installed the Acrobat Reader, you'll be able to view PDF files simply by clicking on the link to the PDF file in your browser. Either the browser will handle the PDF file, or it will bring up another program for viewing the PDF file. Either way, a window will appear that contains buttons that work only for PDF files. Use these buttons to navigate through the file.
Once you get byteserving working, if you'd like the full document to be downloaded in the background even as you browse through it, select the "Allow Background Download of Entire File" option in the General Preferences of the Acrobat Reader.
A Zip format allows either extremely large files, or files created in formats no longer widely used, to be combined and compressed and thus downloaded with more speed and ease. The user requires an "unzip" utility to extract files from an archive (all files for downloading have been compressed using zip archiving and compression). CEDS uses Zip archiving for several of its newer applications, such as video, and for many data sets. In addition, some older reports are available only in a combination of file formats, such as Lotus .WK1 format for tables and plain ASCII for the text.

As posted about last month, Google Chrome has today dropped support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X releases 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8. New installations from the Chrome installer download will not work on machines with those operating systems. Existing users will see a message that they will no longer receive updates because their operating system is unsupportted.
Windows XP saves items from the Internet to folders such as My Pictures and My Music by default, but your downloaded items might appear somewhere else instead. Browsers control their own download folders individually. This choice enables you to send downloads to whatever directory you find most convenient, such as to a specific hard drive or to your desktop. If others share your workstation and set their own download location, downloads may go to unexpected or unknown locations. When you're unsure of your current folder for downloads, you can open the location through your browser.
Please note: NVDA is only available for PCs running Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 and later. If you require a version of NVDA that can still run on Windows XP or Vista, please download the much older NVDA 2017.3 for Windows XP instead. NV Access does not however recommend or support running this older version on newer Operating systems.
Probably because these OS's are outdated by like 20 years! Don't get me wrong - I use DOS and Windows XP myself, but only on isolated computers. I've also maintained physical copies of the OS install disks and service packs, etc., because I don't trust the vendor to always allow me to download it (e.g. MSDN no longer has NT4 ISO files for download).
There are two ways to get that Downloads window back. You can access it through the menu, Click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP and on a Mac), and then click Downloads. Or, you can add another shortcut to your collection, which is Ctrl + J. (Cmd + J on a Mac.) Learn more about managing your downloads on our support site.
You can get the latest stable version for Firefox desktop only also using this direct NoScript 11.4.15 download link.To install, just drag and drop it onto your address bar.
On Firefox for Android, unfortunately, a pre-release can only be downloaded (same link as above) and temporarily installed on Nightly by using the web-ext tool, which is only suitable for hardcore developers and contributors.
